The model fails to start at the first attempt

This problem was investigated as part this bug report. The conclusion is that the VDM debugger timeout might be too small if a computer is too slow to load the 20sim model. The loading time of a 20sim model has been reduced in version 1.2.1, since due to a bug, for the first time a model was loaded, it was loading twice. This problem is likely to appear less after this fix but if it still continues to be a problem, there is a preference to increase the VDM debugger timeout inside DESTECS. The default connection timout is in milliseconds (5000ms = 5sec).

The VDM Debugger preferences are accessible from the DESTECS menu "Window->Preferences".

20sim getVersion failed

DESTECS fails to connect to 20sim when starting the co-simulation. The typical message displayed is:

Possible cause: A possible cause to the problem is that 20sim does not have the DESTECS communication interface activated. To activate it follow the steps:

Step 1: Open 20sim and go to the menu Tools -> Options 20simtool options.png

Step 2: Go to the Interface tab and check the Enable XMLRPC Interface 20simenableXMLRPC.png
